HOW TO ENSURE YOUR PHOTOGRAPHERS AND VIDEOGRAPHERS

As a photo and video team, that have been working together for quite a long time as well as working with other artists from time to time, we have 4 main tips.

1. Make sure that your photographer and videographer communicate ahead of time. When professionals work alongside the whole day, and the moments they capture can’t be repeated, it’s a good idea to discuss preferred shooting and collaboration style beforehand.
2. Search for talent with similar styles and goals with their photography and videography. Hiring a photographer who works best in natural light and in a candid manner and a videographer who needs to setup a few lamps to start filming (and vice versa) is not going to work very well.
3. Weddings are challenging to shoot because of those unrepeatable moments. In particular, it can be difficult to move or squeeze into tight spaces along the aisle during the ceremony. If competition for space is not in the ceremony program, you can minimize stress ahead of time by leaving enough room for your photographer and videographer to claim their territory.

4. However, weddings should be a celebration, not a chore. So another great tip is to forget all the aforementioned and hire a team of photographers and videographers, who regularly work together alongside one another in similar style and pursue the same goals :)
